Last stop before heading to Rome - San Giovanni Rotondo to visit Padre Pio! 🤎

Attended the Holy Mass, prayed the Rosary (interceded for you!) and dropped the petitions from friends!

Finally able to see Padre Pio, another promised kept in this crazy itinerary. 😍

Had breakfast back in the hot before we returned to the Eternal City!

The Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano! ⚪️✝️😍

2nd Leg of our 2-Day "outside of Rome" trip, Loreto - Lanciano - San Giovanni Rotondo. After quite a long day of travelling, spent a good 45 minutes of Eucharistic Adoration in front of this dream destination! 😍

I kinda regreted rushing this trip, not giving at least a full day, but after our first IT trip, I made a promise to come here when we're back, so I made this little crazy itinerary. 😅😇

I had an idea for this trip to create a daily saint spotlight because I'm starting to grow my saint medals collection! 😍 Since I've been inclined to wear my faith, sharing with you how I intentionally put pieces together, meaningfully!

🔎 Spotlight Saint: St. John Paul II, born Karol Józef Wojtyła in 1920 in Wadowice, Poland, survived the loss of his family and the trials of N**i and communist oppression. Elected pope in 1978, he traveled to over 100 countries, canonized more saints than any previous pope, and introduced his groundbreaking Theology of the Body, teaching the sacred meaning of human sexuality and love. Beatified in 2011 and canonized in 2014, he is celebrated for his charismatic leadership, defense of life, promotion of youth through World Youth Day, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel.

🔎 On the spotlight today is St. Mother Teresa! Born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in 1910 in Skopje, joined the Sisters of Loreto and later founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950. She devoted her life to serving “the poorest of the poor” in Calcutta, opening homes for the sick, dying, and abandoned. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, she was canonized by Pope Francis in 2016.

⚜️ Red rose earrings for their daughter, St. Therese - patroness of florists, missionaries, pilots, and priests!

🔎 On the spotlight today are Saints Louis and Zélie Martin who were the first married couple canonized together in 2015, exemplifying that holiness can flourish in family life. Despite personal hardships, including the loss of four children in infancy and St. Zélie's death from cancer at 45, they remained steadfast in their faith. Their five surviving daughters all became nuns, with St. Thérèse of Lisieux among them, showcasing the profound impact of their spiritual example.❤️

⚜️ Floral skirt to symbolize the many Hail Marys and Rosaries Padre Pio completes every day.

🔎 Companion Saint for the day is Padre Pio!Padre Pio, the humble Capuchin friar, bore the stigmata of Christ for 50 years, spent countless hours in the confessional guiding souls, founded the “House for the Relief of Suffering” to care for the sick, was graced with mystical gifts like bilocation and healing, and is now venerated as a saint who shows the power of prayer and sacrifice.🙏🏼

⚜️ Blue skirt, maong polo (from Papa again!), and aqua blue shirt. Mary's blue is a universal symbol, recognized in Christian art and liturgical celebrations worldwide. It recalls her holiness, her peace, and her closeness to God.

⚜️ Floral earrings to symbolize the spiritual roses we give to Mary when we pray the rosary. 🌹

🔎 Companion Saint for the day is Mama Mary herself! The Queen of All Saints, gave her wholehearted fiat at the Annunciation, was conceived without sin through the grace of the Immaculate Conception, and is honored by the Church with profound dogmas—her Divine Motherhood, Perpetual Virginity, Immaculate Conception, and Assumption—making her the highest model of faith and love. ❤️

[ 𝗔𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆'𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 ]

What a gift to be here at Mama Mary's home on her birthday!😍🎁

I just realized how a few days ago when we decided to give Loreto a go was Mama Mary's invitation for us to come to her "birthday celebration"! 🥹🥰

Our visit is quite crunched and as per our schedule, we won't be there during on any Mass schedule. I was praying and hoping silently that God gives us a miracle - and behold, to my joy, there was Mass when we arrived and we were able to experience this mystical encounter - the host and wine turning into flesh and blood of Christ (John 6:53-58, Luke 22:19-20) and the background was the very home that "the Word became flesh" (John 1:16)! It was an absolute rapture! 😭😭😭

As we were on the left side of the Basilica and after Communion, there were not much space as there were a lot of parishioners and pilgrims, we knelt right beside the Holy House! With the blessed host still melting on my tongue, I touched the marble exterior of the house! What divine ecstasy to my human matter! 😭

Lord, thank You!!! Mama Mary, thank you! Thank You for giving Leo and I such a beautiful gift on your birthday! 😍
