Continua la saga dei “GIGANTI NERI 🖤” maremmani!
Vicino ai 3 ritrovamenti precedenti abbiamo controllato più accuratamente e ecco spuntare altri due neri! Uno maturo, ma bello s**o. Sano! Uno un pochino stentato…ma che ci si può fare! Tanto, per chi mi conosce, sa che finché non sono passati un utilizzo lo trovo per tutti…alla fine secchi in base brodo e poi polverizzati insieme a bucce di carote, di sedano e di cipolla, anche essi secchi…sono molto molto meglio di quelle sozzerie che chiamano “Dado” e insaporiscono brodi e arrosti!

The saga of the “BLACK GIANTS 🖤” from the Maremma continues!
Near the three previous finds, we took a closer look and, sure enough, two more black ones popped up! One is fully mature, yet still nice and firm—healthy and in great shape. The other is a bit stunted… but what can you do?
Anyone who knows me knows that, as long as they haven’t gone bad, I’ll always find a use for them. In the end, I dry them for stock, then grind them into a powder together with dried carrot peels, celery trimmings, and onion skins. The result is far better than those so-called “stock cubes” packed with all sorts of junk, and it adds amazing flavor to broths and roasts!

Questa saga dei “GIGANTI NERI 🖤” continua con questa meravigliosa tripletta! I primi due sono perfetti, maturi ma sodi e con un bel peso specifico. Funghi che paiono colorati da un artista per come sono! L ultimo nonostante fosse s**o, iniziava a mostrare qualche segno di avanzamento. In questi casi, quando le muffe iniziano a attaccarlo nella parte inferiore sempre bene osservarlo e comprendere se é in avanzato stato di deperimento…. Che bosco però, ragazzi!

This saga of the “BLACK GIANTS 🖤” continues with this wonderful trio!
The first two are perfect: mature yet firm, with a nice substantial weight. Mushrooms that look as if they were painted by an artist because of their incredible colors!
The last one, although still firm, was beginning to show some signs of aging. In these cases, when molds start attacking the underside, it’s always important to inspect it carefully and determine whether it has reached an advanced stage of deterioration.
What a forest, though, guys! 🍄🌲🖤

Questa saga dei “GIGANTI NERI 🖤🖤” inizia a entrare nel vivo…e qua ci sono 3 ritrovamenti eccezionali. Due Boletus Aereus e un’amanita cesarea! Funghi belli, funghi che sono nonostante il caldo, sani!

Purtroppo con le temperature molto alte la qualità dei funghi tende a essere un po’ minore. Questo é dovuto alla velocità di deperimento e soprattutto alla presenza di gasteropodi,imenotteri e animali vari che vanno ghiotti…come noi, di questi bellissimi frutti!

Unfortunately, with very high temperatures, the quality of mushrooms tends to be somewhat lower. This is due to their rapid deterioration and, above all, to the presence of gastropods, hymenopterans, and various other animals that are just as fond of these beautiful fruits as we are!

E infine ecco a voi il momento della raccolta di questo primo GIANTE NERO 🖤🖤. Un fungo massiccio, perfetto, pieno, s**o e senza vermi. Maturo, si, ma eccezionale. Un frutto che capita raramente…soprattutto quando le zone sono battute e frequentate e soprattutto quando il clima é caldo! Che dire, fanno ba***re il cuore e provare emozioni! E voi,che ne pensate?

And finally, here comes the moment of harvesting this first BLACK GIANT 🖤🖤.
A massive mushroom, perfect, full, firm, and completely worm-free. Mature, yes, but truly exceptional. A find like this happens rarely… especially when the spots are heavily searched and frequently visited, and when the weather is warm!
