How many more teachers must be abd-uc-ted? How many more innocent children must be taken from their classrooms before this nation treats the cr-is‐is with the urgency it deserves?
Across Nigeria, families live in constant fear. Parents send their children to school not knowing if they will return home safely. Teachers ri-sk their lives simply for doing their jobs. Communities mo-u-rn victims while others wait anxiously for news of loved ones.
These are not isolated incidents. They are tra-g-ed-ies that continue to shake the nation and demand decisive action. Yet many citizens feel that the response has not matched the scale of the crisis. While fear, insecurity, and loss affect countless families, life seems to carry on as though nothing is happening.
The protection of children, teachers, and every citizen should be a national priority. Every abd-uc-tion, every kpaing, and every act of vi-ol-ěn-ce is a reminder that urgent and effective action is needed.
The people deserve safety. Children deserve classrooms free from fear. Teachers deserve protection. Silence and indifference cannot be the answer.
