Cancer is such a bāstąrd. 💔

This man’s death has reopened a fresh wound in my heart and brought back the pain of losing my mother. I knew that with stage 4 cancer, the chances of survival could be very slim, but somehow, you still hope for a miracle.

I pray that one day, there will be a cure for cancer and that this terřible disease will no longer take the people we love from us.

Rest well, legend. 🕊️💔 You fought your battle. May you rest in peace.

Being blood is not always a guarantee of loyalty.

Sometimes, the people you trust the most, the ones you would give your life for, can become the very people who hurt you the deepest. They may betray you, pull you down, become jealous of your progress, or even work against your success. It's heartbreaking, but it happens.

Watching Peter Okoye speak about what happened between him and his brothers really touched me. I found myself emotional, especially during part 8. Omo, i cried o🥺 No one deserves to experience that kind of pain from people they love and trust.

This isn't about taking sides or judging anyone. It's simply a reminder that our greatest wounds often come from those closest to us. That is why we should put our ultimate trust in God, because people whether family, friends, or strangers can disappoint us.

I pray that God comforts Peter, gives him peace, heals every hurt, and strengthens him through this difficult season.

May God also protect us from betrayal, whether it comes from strangers or from those closest to us. Amen.

Another hea-rt-breaki-ng case has surfaced, this time in Abia State. According to reports, the woman involved is from Imo State. She was c-ho-ki-ng her own niece while holding a k-n-if-e. In the video, the little girl who is 12 years old was scre-am-ing desp-erately as the woman stran-gle-d her and repeatedly hit her with the kni-fe. Thankfully, a man stepped in, took the k-ni-fe away from her, and stopped the at-tack. I'm relieved that she has now been arrested.

A few days ago, I spoke about the increasing reports of child ma-ltr-eatm-ent involving domestic workers and relatives in some Igbo communities. Instead of discussing the issue, some people insulted me and accused me of trying to paint an entire tribe in a bad light.

Let me repeat what I said then: child ab-u-se is not exclusive to any tribe. It happens in different parts of Nigeria and among different ethnic groups. But when a particular incident keeps happening in a particular tribe, then it calls for a serious concern.
This child wasn't even a house help. She was the woman's own niece😲

If you know you cannot genuinely care for another person's child, please don't ask them to send the child to live with you. Children are not punching bags. They deserve love, protection, and a safe home. If they want to visit during holidays, that's different. But no child should be sent into an environment where they will be tort-ured or abu-sed.

Enough is enough. Every child deserves to be safe, regardless of who they are or where they come from. Let's stop defending abusers because they share our tribe or background, and start protecting innocent children.

This incident was reportedly recorded in Ebonyi State, where a woman allegedly restrained a little girl's hands and legs as punishment after the child used some money to buy sweets.

My question is?
Why are there frequent reports of child do-m-estic workers being ab-u-sed in some Igbo households?

Before anyone misunderstands this post, let me be clear: child ab-u-se and the mistreatment of domestic workers are not limited to any one tribe. Cases have been reported across different ethnic groups in Nigeria.

However, from what many people have been seeing and discussing on social media, there appears to be a noticeable number of such reports involving Igbo households. So i am not turning this intpo a tribal argument.

What do you think needs to change to end the ab-u-se of child dome-stic workers in all tribes.
