ROCKSHOTS RECORDS WELCOMES ALIEN ORCHESTRA

Rockshots Records is proud to announce the signing of ALIEN ORCHESTRA, the Oslo-based studio act founded in 2014 by Jan Batista Mojdis (aka EpicAlien).

At Rockshots, we’ve been orbiting Jan’s sonic cosmos for years, following his otherworldly creations online. In the past months, when we finally heard the brand new material, we immediately fell in love with it. Alien Orchestra has transcended its cinematic origins to embrace the essence of metal from another dimension, an ultraterrestrial orchestra absorbing every frequency, from the darkest depths to the most delicate emotions, driven by a pulsating soul of metal and cinematic music.

In January 2025, Jan Mojdis collaborated with cinematic composer Eric Heitmann to release The Way Back, an epic cinematic post-rock single inspired by the trials of life and the strength to overcome them. The track marked the beginning of a new chapter for Alien Orchestra after years of silence.

Now Alien Orchestra unveil new material, with Jan Mojdis joined by Simen Sandnes (Evergrey, Shining, Temic) on drums & percussions and Mats Haugen (Circus Maximus) on lead guitars.

The new songs were written right after Jan’s victorious battle against leukemia and a bone marrow transplant, reflecting his near-death experience, the fragile spark of healing, and the triumph of new life.

With this new chapter, Alien Orchestra embraces the path of metal from another dimension, while EpicAlien will continue weaving the ambient and cinematic side of this vast universe.

More music will be released in the coming months, with details to be revealed soon. In the meantime, mark this date: October 10th – the release of the new single and official video “The Last Horizons.”
