A new LEGO set for The Batman reveals Bruce Wayne's look as a drifter. Directed by Matt Reeves, the upcoming Warner Bros. and DC Films project will debut Robert Pattinson as the next iteration of the Caped Crusader. After its production was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic and its release date was pushed back, it's now set for a March 2022 release date.

With its premiere slowly inching near, marketing for the movie is also ramping up. Unlike the DCEU's version of the character played by Ben Affleck, Pattinson's Bruce Wayne is fairly new in his role as the Bat of Gotham. Reeves also shared that the movie's story will revolve around the deep-rooted corruption in Gotham City and how the Waynes are somehow connected to it. Paul Dano's The Riddler will be the main antagonist, with Penguin (Colin Farrell) and Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz) involved, as well. Meanwhile, Bruce will find some loyal allies in his corner with Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) and Commissioner Gordon (Jeffrey Wright).

In a recent interview, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Evangeline Lilly discussed Marvel's Disney+ series, praising shows such as Loki and WandaVision. Lilly has portrayed the superhero Wasp across three films, including 2019's Avengers: Endgame, as well as reprising her role for Marvel's What If...? animated series. She is set to return alongside Paul Rudd's Scott Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in 2023.

Lilly first joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015's Ant-Man as Hope Van Dyne, daughter of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), who recruits Lang alongside Hank to stop her father's technology from falling into the wrong hands. She returned in 2017's Ant-Man and the Wasp to rescue her mother from the Quantum Realm before joining the fight against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame after being caught in the Blip. Lilly will return in the third Ant-Man film, having previously welcomed MCU newcomer Kathryn Newton to the franchise, who will star alongside Lilly as Cassie Lang, Scott Lang's daughter.

The Harry Potter books and movies saw the deaths of many beloved characters, most of them during the Battle of Hogwarts, and among those were Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks – but why did J.K. Rowling decide to kill them? With time, the Wizarding World has become one of the most extensive and beloved universes in the fantasy genre, and it all began in 1997 with the publication of J.K. Rowling’s debut novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. This was the first entry in a series of seven novels, which became a worldwide phenomenon and made way for a highly successful movie saga.

The Harry Potter novels and movies tell the story of “the boy who lived” and Lord Voldemort, the darkest wizard of all, who had dangerous plans for both the Wizarding and Muggle worlds and a personal vendetta against Harry, who he failed to kill when he was a baby. Now, when it was time for the books to make the jump to the big screen, many characters, events, and elements had to be left aside for different reasons, but in general, the Harry Potter movies were quite loyal to the source material, and something they didn’t change much was the many tragic deaths throughout the series, especially those during the Battle of Hogwarts.

Michael Keaton praises Will Arnett's performance in The LEGO Batman Movie. Keaton was one of the first actors to don the cape and cowl in a feature film for Tim Burton's 1989 Batman, co-starring Jack Nicholson as The Joker, and again for Batman Returns in 1992. Burton's darker take on the iconic DC character, along with Keaton's acclaimed portrayal, is credited with introducing a new generation to the comics, paving the way for future adaptations by Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder.

Thirty years after his last portrayal, Keaton will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Andy Muschietti's upcoming DCEU film, The Flash, which will also see Ben Affleck reprise his version of the same character. All the while, Matt Reeves' forthcoming Batman movie will introduce another iteration of the Caped Crusader portrayed by Robert Pattinson. With almost too many Batmen to keep track of, animated versions such as Will Arnett's LEGO Batman are sometimes overlooked.

George Clooney says he won't let his wife watch Batman & Robin. Clooney played Batman for director Joel Schumacher in 1997's Batman & Robin, which put the Batman franchise on ice for eight years after it flopped. Clooney followed Michael Keaton and then Val Kilmer in the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, tackling the role as his career was taking off with roles in E.R., From Dusk Till Dawn and One Fine Day. The ensemble cast included Chris O'Donnell as Robin, Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy, Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze and Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl.

Batman & Robin was the lowest-grossing Batman film of all time, making a paltry $238 million worldwide off of a $125 million budget, and receiving almost universally bad reviews across the board. The failure of the film led to a complete reboot by the time WB ventured into the Batcave again with Christopher Nolan's aptly-titled Batman Begins in 2005. Nolan's follow-up sequels, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, both made over $1 billion worldwide, which put the Batman & Robin debacle in the rear view and gifted the IP to the next caretaker, Zack Snyder, who hired Ben Affleck for the role in both Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. Affleck is next appearing in the cowl for Andy Muschietti's The Flash, which also brings back the original Batman, Michael Keaton.
