Ogni giorno vediamo immagini che non vorremmo vedere. Volti di bambini, madri, padri: vittime innocenti di una guerra che divora tutto. Tutte le guerre sono feroci e ogni giorno ne vediamo la crudeltà abbattersi anche su civili inermi. Non possiamo restare indifferenti. Non possiamo abituarci all’orrore. Ora però siamo di fronte a un altro orrore: la morte per fame e per sete che aspetta una popolazione di bambini, donne, vecchi. Anche questo ci deve apparire inaccettabile. Facciamo appello all’umanità che ci resta.
È il momento di reagire.
È il momento di dire, tutti insieme:
BASTA!
Every day we see images we wish we would never have to see. Faces of children, mothers, fathers: innocent victims of a war that devours everything. All wars are ferocious, and every day we witness their cruelty falling upon defenseless civilians.
We cannot remain indifferent.
We cannot grow accustomed to horror. And now we are facing yet another horror: death by hunger and thirst awaiting a population of children, women, and the elderly. This, too, must be unacceptable to us. We call upon the humanity that still remains within us.
This is the moment to react.
This is the moment to say, all together:
ENOUGH!
