Founded in 1981, Valsesia Musica (former Viotti - Valsesia) International Competition is a world-wide famous music event which highlights young talents on the music scene and promotes tourism in Valsesia as well. It takes place in Varallo - (VC- Italy) and is composed of different annual sections: violin and orchestra, piano, voice and juniores (piano, strings).

The winners of 41st Valsesia Musica International Competition 2025 are Artem Rychagov and Sergei Mkrtichian who shared the first prize while Haewon Lim has been awarded both the second prize and the special prize offered by Inner Wheel Club as best female violinist of the competition.

Our Story

Due to Covid-19 emergency the 2020' s regulation has changed and the calendar has been modified as follows:

Violin and orchestra 7th - 9th October (video selection deadline 31 August, age limit 37 years old)

Juniores Competition (piano, strings, chamber music) 8th November (video selection deadline 30 September) Piano 10th - 11th December* (video selection deadline 31 October, age limit 37 years old) * in case the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic is continuing the finalists will be requested to submit a further video instead of performing live n Varallo.
