The New Publishing is a process-lead experimental publishing house that aim to explore and redefine the current world of publication, together with its possible future(s). We consider it as a laboratory, an experiment, to bring forth new/inventive method of knowledge dissemination to the publishing industry. Our publishing house works mainly with, and aiming to do more, experimental publications -
in which we poses no preconceptions of any possible results during the development. It is here that the process, the journey, and the community becomes what defines the final result of each of the publication. Starting in February 2017 the project is a continuation of a master thesis by our two co-founders, Nuphap Aunyanuphap and Silvia Lanfranchi, with thesis advisor Stefano Mirti for Masters in Relational Design in Italy. As two designers with common interest in communication and visual design, we value very much the importance of design process, how it add value to the current industry, and most importantly, how we can make them understandable and visually pleasing. The future goal of The New Publishing is to continue the exploration into the world of publishing and bring forth the answer(s) to the very question that started our project: How can the publishing industry adapt to the current complex and evolving digital era? and what are the ways at which we - the publishing industry - can benefit from it?
