L’AI è già entrata nella filmografia e noi di BAIFF lo vediamo ogni giorno: in scrittura, in pre-visualizzazione, in montaggio, in VFX.
Uno strumento che accelera, che allarga le possibilità e che cambia i tempi di produzione.
E come ogni tecnologia che permea il tessuto creativo, all’inizio genera attrito.
Queste non sono le prime frizioni: sono le più grandi. Quelle tra un sistema “standard” con ruoli, filiere, diritti, contratti e un linguaggio nuovo che corre più veloce delle regole.
Il punto non è fermare l’onda. È darle argini: regolamentare, tutelare il lavoro, salvaguardare le professionalità, riconoscere valore e responsabilità lungo tutta la catena.
Perché se perdiamo chi fa cinema, non stiamo innovando: stiamo svuotando.
Il cinema serve a raccontare l’essere umano. L’AI è uno strumento: la visione resta nostra.

And like any technology that weaves into the creative fabric, it creates friction at first.
These aren’t the first frictions, they’re the biggest ones. The clash between a “standard” system of roles, pipelines, rights, and contracts, and a new language that runs faster than the rules.
The point isn’t to stop the wave. It’s to give it banks: regulate it, protect the work, safeguard professional skills, and recognize value and responsibility across the entire chain.
Because if we lose the people who make cinema, we’re not innovating, we’re emptying it out.
Cinema exists to tell the human story. AI is a tool: the vision remains ours.
