It is that time of year when children write letters to to tell him what a good boy or girl they have been. Along with a report of their behavior, they include a wish list of presents they hope to find under the tree morning. Well, that isn’t necessarily the case for Italian children.

I regularly say “never forget where you came from.” I heard that phrase regularly since childhood. And that means remembering and celebrating our collective heritage every day. It is what keeps our ancestors alive in our hearts as well as our memories.
