I used to take my camera with my daughter and ride around to the local skateboard parks and photograph the skateboarder’s and I would get some amazing photos. Here I wanted to combine the skateboarder with a city in the background. I added colors like amber, dark purple and dark cyan to add to the excitement and try to bring it to life.

I saw this picture of Jimi Hendrix a few months ago and I had the Ai generate a few pictures of the great guitarist, but after a few different tries I couldn’t get it to flip him around because Jimi was a left handed guitarist. So I tried to flip him around in Midjourney version 6 and still couldn’t get him turned around. I’ll work on it in Photoshop in the next few days, but until then here’s a right handed Jimi. Kinda sucks because these images are poster worthy.

Who remembers “The International Silver String Submarine Band” from the original Little Rascals tv show? Well this is their latest version of the band in 3D. Creating 3D characters in Ai has always been a challenge, but with Midjourney 6.0 they’ve improved a lot of things that weren’t possible in their previous versions.

I call this series The Nike Kids. I wanted to keep the color pattern to be between dark cyan, purple and amber. I tried different cartoon designs including Disney and Pixar.

I’ve been a jazz buff since I was a kid. My father’s record collection was something I admired as a kid and he always had the latest edition of Down Beat Magazine. The pictures in that magazine was to me second to none. Some were worthy of being framed and hung on a wall.

I’m always in search of good jazz art and it’s very hard to come by these days. So now I use Ai to come up with exactly what I’m looking for. Because I love abstract art, I asked the Ai to try to incorporate the background with the subject. Tell me what you think in the comments.

One of the coolest things I’ve done in any versions of Midjourney is 3D cartoon characters of kids. I started out with the kids doing a studio shoot, but I moved it to a playground and basketball court. Tell me what you think in the comments.

I created this concept last year using Midjourney version 5.0 that I updated last night using version 6.0. There was a nice sized framed picture similar to these in a conference room at my old job. Version 6 makes these look realistic.

I was working on some stock photos last night and this was hard. I wanted the earth like the one captured in Apollo 8 which they referred it to as “The Big Blue Marble.” The Ai kept giving me a globe like the one you had in your elementary class room. It took some work to get the Ai to produce what I wanted, but I’m happy with the results.

When I had both Hampton University, Coppin State University and Norfolk State University under contract, each year I had to do head shots for every sporting team. I must have done a kajillion head shots in my lifetime. Now I just asked the Ai to do it for me for stock photo purposes. The problem is I love catch lights in the subject’s eyes and with Ai it seems to be hit or miss. Some have it and some don’t.
