MUSIKFEST 2026 — THE FINAL WEEKEND IS HERE!

Last night was incredible — and Musikfest is not over yet! There are still 2 days to experience one of America’s largest free music festivals in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

With 10 days, 16 stages and 500+ performances, the entire city transforms into one giant festival filled with live music, incredible food, street performances, arts, shopping and family activities. And the best part? Most of the festival is completely FREE!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 8

* 🎶 Free live music throughout Historic Bethlehem & SteelStacks
* 🎸 British Invasion Weekend
* 🎤 Yellowcard & Taking Back Sunday at the Wind Creek Steel Stage — tickets required
* 🍴 Festival food, drinks, arts & crafts
* 🎨 Family activities and street performances

SUNDAY, AUGUST 9 — GRAND FINALE

* 🎶 Free concerts throughout the festival grounds
* 🎤 AJR closes out Musikfest at the Wind Creek Steel Stage — tickets required
* 🎆 Farewell fireworks to celebrate the festival finale

OUR TIP: Don’t just come for one concert. Walk through Historic Bethlehem, explore Main Street, try the festival food, discover the free stages and then head to SteelStacks for the incredible night atmosphere.

If you’re anywhere near Pennsylvania or New York, this is one of those events you should experience at least once.

Canadian Wildfires and Their Impact on New York and Nearby States

The Canadian wildfires have once again affected the northeastern United States this week. Strong winds carried smoke from large wildfires in Ontario and other parts of Canada into New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and nearby states.How did the wildfires affect New York and nearby areas?

* Air quality became much worse.
Air quality reached “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” in many parts of New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In some places, the air quality became even worse.
* The sky looked orange and hazy.
Many people noticed a strong smell of smoke, similar to a campfire. The sun appeared orange or red, and the city skyline was difficult to see because of the thick smoke.
* Outdoor sports were affected.
The New York Mets–Philadelphia Phillies baseball game started earlier than planned because of the poor air quality. Some other outdoor events were postponed or rescheduled.
* Health warnings were issued.
Health officials advised the following groups to stay indoors as much as possible:
* People with asthma
* People with COPD or other lung diseases
* People with heart disease
* Older adults
* Children
They also recommended wearing an N95 mask if people needed to spend time outside.
