To my friend who became my sister,
We met as kids — just two little girls with backpacks bigger than our bodies, giggling over silly jokes in the school hallway. Who would’ve thought that back then, we were already building something so unbreakable?
Do you remember the sleepover weekends that turned into full-on marathons of laughter, whispered secrets, and inside jokes no one else could understand? We’d stay up way too late, talking about everything and nothing, making friendship bracelets, planning our future weddings, and swearing we’d be in each other’s lives forever.
And those summer vacations — when time felt endless, and the biggest decision we had to make was which snack to bring to the pool. We made so many memories with messy hair, sun-kissed skin, and hearts that never wanted the days to end. You weren’t just my summer buddy, you were my person — the one who made life feel a little less lonely and a whole lot more magical.
Somewhere between those playground days and growing pains, you became more than just a friend. You became my sister — not by blood, but by choice. The kind of sister who knows my heart, my scars, and my soul. You’ve been there through heartbreaks and healing, through growth and grief, and everything in between.
We’ve seen each other change, stumble, rise, and evolve. And through it all, you’ve never let go of my hand.
You’ve loved me through seasons when I didn’t even love myself.
And that kind of love? That’s rare. That’s forever.
I don’t say it enough, but I thank God for the little girl I met at school who turned out to be my sister for life.
I love you more than words will ever reach.
