TOP 5 SOLID PNP CANDIDATES WHO LOST

Put politics aside the PNP hierachy made huge mistakes by not using these five candidates in seats that they could've won. The reality is that they faced strong JLP incumbents and some in strong JLP seats .

🟠Gabriela Morris in North West St.Ann is an excellent candidate but she faced Krystal Lee an excellent campaign strategist from Robert Montague stable .
🟠Paul Patmore is an excellent candidate but Marissa Dalrymple Phillibert and the seat of Trelawny Southern is a JLP seat .
🟠Miranda Wellington was up against Floyd Green the frontrunner to be the leader of the JLP. She won two of 4 divisions. If she was up against Frank Witter. South West St.Elizabeth is a lean JLP seat with a strong candidate but her best choice to win was in that seat. She just was not going to defeat Floyd Green.
🟠Patricia Duncan-Sutherland faced the Finace Minister of Jamaica which was going to be very difficult for her to win.
🟠Andre Haughton was just up against the division of Spring Garden in West Central St.James. He needed to win Granville and Mount Salem together by over 800 votes to have a chance against Marlene Malahoo Forte.

In closing If Morris ,Sutherland or Patmore had gone to Trelawny Northern the JLP would've been in trouble . Also If Haughton or Sutherland had gone to Kingson Central the JLP would've been in trouble . If Wellington had gone to Frank Witter or Rhoda Crawford seat the race could've been more tighter for the JLP.

TOP 3 POOR CANDIDATE SELECTION FOR THE PNP

For the PNP to have a chance in winning the General Election they atleast needed to have perfect candidate selections . The PNP made poor choices in Trelawny Northern with Wykeham Mcneil ,Manchester Central with Donovan Mitchell and Kingston Central with Steve McGregor.

This is likely to be Desmond McKenzie last election as a MP . After his retirement Kamina Johnson-Smith is currently the clear frontrunner to replace him. If Robert Montague resign as Chairman Kamina Johnson-Smith is seen as a suitable replacement.
