アーカイブ配信シリーズ『MOOD SOUNDS of TOKYO』第3弾
今年2025年は、昭和100年と銘打たれて様々な昭和の日本発コンテンツにスポットが当たるが、その当時の空気感や流行を反映しているものに”ムード・ミュージック”と呼ばれる音楽が挙げられる。
主に当時流行した洋楽、歌謡曲、映画音楽などをインストゥルメンタルでカバーしたものが挙げられるが、これらは街や店内に流れるBGMやダンスミュージックのような役割を果たしてきた。
これらの音源には、一流ミュージシャンや作家が携わっている他、当時の日本の演奏楽器や録音環境によって生み出される独特なサウンドが垣間見えるなど、今となっては日本の音楽史に於ける歴史的な資料の側面も持ち合わせている。
第3弾となる今回から、音楽ライター/ベーシストのガモウユウイチ()を監修者に迎え、ガモウユウイチが選らんだ13作品から
Part1として5作品を本日、8作品を8/24に配信化。

Archive Streaming Series “MOOD SOUNDS of TOKYO” Vol. 3
This year, 2025, marks the 100th anniversary of the Showa era, shining a spotlight on various Japanese cultural contents originating from that time. Among these is the genre known as “Mood Music,” which reflects the atmosphere and trends of the era.
Mood Music mainly consists of instrumental covers of popular Western music, kayōkyoku (Japanese pop songs), and film scores from that period. These tracks served as background music in streets and shops, as well as dance music.
Many of these recordings feature top-tier musicians and composers, and offer a glimpse into the unique sounds produced by Japanese instruments and recording environments of the time. Today, they hold significant historical value as important materials in the history of Japanese music.
For this third installment, we welcome music writer and bassist Yuichi Gamou as supervisor. From 13 works selected by Gamou, Part 1, featuring 5 pieces, is being released today, with the remaining 8 pieces scheduled for release on August 24.
