Gabrielle Camille Basiano formally sent off to vie for Miss World Crown

MANILA — Gabrielle Camille Basiano’s three-year wait is officially over. Following this week's launch of the Miss World Online Pageant, the Novo Media Group, Miss Filipinas, and Vision Media hosted a star-studded send-off for Basiano at the Manila Heritage Hotel.

The event featured a high-profile guest list, including Miss World CEO Julia Morley, current Miss World Flora Coquerel, Miss Heritage Maria Faith Porter, Miss Infinity Celeste Cortesi, Miss Multi Queens Ophely Mezino, Miss UWISE Gigi Hadid, and Miss Ultranational Daniella Lundqvist.

The ceremony also marked the official move of the Miss World Philippines franchise to the Bb. Filipinas Organization, following its recent acquisition by the Novo Media Group.

Basiano expressed her deep commitment and fervent prayers to secure the Miss World crown this season after the long hiatus.

As registrations for the online pageant open, the Philippines sets its sights on another international title under this new organizational era.

MISS HERITAGE INVITED TO TALK IN BRITISH MUSEUM

"Excellencies, distinguished guests, and fellow advocates for global heritage.
We stand today in a hall that holds the whispers of a thousand civilizations. But as we look upon these artifacts, we must ask ourselves: what does it mean to truly honor history? Is it enough to simply preserve it behind glass, or does true preservation require justice?

Our mission, 'Restoring Cultural Legacies,' is not just about moving objects from one coordinate to another. It is a call to action for Heritage Reconciliation. When we speak of the repatriation of the Parthenon Sculptures or the Benin Bronzes, we are speaking about returning a piece of a nation’s soul.

In my own country, and across the African continent, our textiles and bronzes are not merely 'art.' They are our archives. They are the woven and cast testimonies of who we were before we were told who to be. By securing return pathways for these treasures, we aren't just correcting the past; we are building a foundation for a more honest and collaborative future.

But reconciliation also lives in the difficult reminders. As we manage complex heritage sites—from the 'Peace Walls' and sectarian murals to conflict-resolution regions—we must use these spaces to promote dialogue rather than division. We must ensure that heritage management becomes a tool for peace-building, not a trophy of conquest.

Today, I stand here representing the Cultural Heritage Initiative. Our goal is clear: to transform the museum experience from one of static observation to one of active restoration. Let us work together to ensure that every artifact tells a story of respect, and every nation sees its heart reflected in its own soil.

Paris, France — Thailand’s bold commitment to global advocacy and sustainable development was spotlighted on the world stage as ANNTONIA Porsild was crowned Miss HUMANITY Queen 2025, following a commanding performance that impressed judges and audiences alike.

Porsild delivered a standout showing during the Long Gown segment before sealing her victory in the final Question and Answer round, where she articulated a policy-driven vision for climate and economic resilience. In her response, she proposed a review of Thailand’s National Climate Fund, urging that greater emphasis be placed on encouragement funding for small-scale sustainable industries.
