✨ Happy Saturday!! ✨

This piece is such a funny mix of things I absolutely love and things that make me want to scream a little 😂 Like the cute piggy like little nose! I changed it so many times, but in the end, it felt kind of charming in a weird, offbeat way, so I just embraced it.

And those tiny toes? Yeah… I totally didn’t feel like rendering them properly, so she got some cute stockings to tie everything together (sometimes fashion solves anatomy problems, right?).

The arm holding the camera still looks a bit awkward to me, but it’s such a tricky angle to draw that I decided to just let it go. Same with her upper thigh and lower butt area.. awkward, yet somehow still cute in an almost squishy way.

This is actually the second illustration I’ve done with my new lineart brush! There’s still a bit of stiffness I’m trying to work through; I feel like I haven’t fully unlocked its flow yet. Even today, I’m working on another piece where I can’t quite capture the same energy from the sketch when I start lining it.

Sometimes I really question if it’s even worth pushing all the way to that crisp, clean lineart. There’s something so raw and energetic in a refined sketch, but the perfectionist in me always wants those crisp edges. Still… it feels more straightforward than spending endless hours cleaning a sketch that never quite loses that roughness without sacrificing its energy

✨ Ooops! I accidentally forgot about this drawing when I made my last post! So here she is! ☺️

How often do you all like to post? I’ve been wondering about this a lot recently. I have so many pieces sitting in my “finished… ish?” folder, and I can’t decide lately if they’re sketches or full pieces. Do I give each one its own spotlight, or bundle them together in big sketch-dumps? 🤔

If I gave them each their own moment, I actually have enough to keep posting consistently through the next two weeks! Which means I could technically take a little break from drawing! But haha you know I wont. I know a lot of artists make multiple pieces of content out of one illustration, focusing on quality of that piece over quantity, and I’ve been wondering if I should lean more into that. 🧐

But then again… I always end up doing warm-up sketches that turn into full-on pieces without meaning to! I can’t help but go with the flow whenever it strikes.⚡️

This one feels a little uncanny valley to me, probably because I was breaking in a brand new line-art brush: the “Endless” by Liliyth! 🌙 I actually discovered it from one of .art Resaa’s Reels and just had to try it. It’s so incredibly smooth. Almost too smooth at first… but I really enjoy the feel now. ✨

It’s kind of poetic that I circled back to Liliyth’s brushes. A couple years ago, for about a year and a half, my main sketch/line brush was from her free pack, so it feels nice to support her for real this time. It also feels a bit like coming full circle in my art journey 💖

✨ A quickie but a cutie from the other day! ✨

It’s funny… My definition of a “quick sketch” has definitely been evolving lately. A couple of years ago, I probably would’ve called this a finished illustration and been so proud to post it as a final piece. Now it feels more like a glorified sketch, but in the good way I promise!

Even though it’s simpler, it was so much fun to create. Sometimes it feels good to just draw without overthinking everything or getting stuck in endless loop of refining.

✨ This illustration was actually done on the same day as the front slide of my last post! I somehow managed to finish two pieces in one day. This one ended up feeling much more polished though probably because I got more in the zone… even if I was binge watching something in the background (which show? I honestly can’t even remember anymore).

This piece is also a fun little snapshot of my inking transition phase… I had just started experimenting with my new inking brush that day! Some parts are done in my old brush style (which has a bit more grit and, let’s be real, takes exponentially longer), while other sections use the new brush, which feels so buttery and smooth. It’s actually pretty hard to tell which is which unless you look super closely.

I’m so excited to share more about this new brush in my next post. It is fully lined with it, and I’ll spill all the details and thoughts then! Can’t wait 💫

✨ Another mini Sketchdump! Which is your favorite? ☺️

These are all fully colored, but I just couldn’t quite find the gumpshon to push them all the way to completion. Each one kind of drifted off at a different stage…

The last piece is probably the most “feature complete,” but somehow it feels the least interesting to me. It’s funny how that happens… sometimes the rougher, sketchier stages feel so much more alive and expressive. And sometimes, despite your best efforts, you just keep going when maybe you should have let the piece breathe 😅

The second sketch in this set definitely tested my patience it took wayyyy too long because I decided to binge the new season of Squid Game while working on it. Having to keep glancing over to read captions is not the best combo with drawing lol 😂
In the end, these pieces feel a bit like little tiny lessons, bits of energy, distractions, and experimentation. And even if they aren’t “finished,” they still feel like they were worth it.

Another Sketchdump! Which is your favorite?
I recently bought a new inking brush that is so perfect 🤩I actually redid a couple of the lines from the first one here with it today before this post heh 😏ironically I think my old inkingw i brush will now be my sketching brush lol.
I also got a couple copies to try coloring one of my drawings traditionally. I printed my PFPs sketch layer onto a postcard and colored it! I’m not sure if I will show it here you lol they are fun to use but also quite difficult

✨ Sketchdump time! ✨ Which one’s your favorite? Let me know below or share it if it speaks to you! 💖

After pouring so much energy into my last few big illustrations, I kind of allowed myself a bit of a breather with these lighter, more “doodly” sketches. Some still got the colored treatment, but in my head, they definitely live in that sketchy, playful zone.

Lately, I’ve been experimenting with a new approach: slightly blurring the linework and adding a pink undertone to create this subtle, almost vibrating glow. It’s a delicate effect. Just a hint here and there… but it gives the lines a sort of dreamy, ethereal softness that I really love.

Funny enough, this idea actually started while I was working on that big lineless piece. I wanted to “outline” it with a faint halo so it stood out, but it ended up breaking the seamless background flow, so I scrapped it. But I loved the vibe so much that I repurposed it for these sketches, and I think it adds a new layer of depth and warmth to the lines.

You’ll see this glow most clearly in the first piece in this set. It almost feels like the lines are gently breathing or shimmering, vibrating even and I’m excited to keep refining this effect as I experiment more.

Sometimes the smallest side experiments end up shaping your style the most ✨

One last share of this illustration from the other day, this time shown fully framed and from a different angle so it can live as a single, standalone post. ✨

This version is actually a little nod to how the piece looked in its earliest stages: super low contrast, with the hair, skin, and the base of the bustier all the same color as the background, which allows it to all kind of meld together. Only the subtle shifts and shaping of shadow define the details and guide your eye through the pose.
Creating in this style was such an interesting (and slightly mind-bending) challenge. You have to balance softness and clarity so nothing gets completely lost in the haze. a dance of light and form. There was a lot of back and forth, pushing and pulling details until they felt just visible enough without losing that dreamy, ethereal vibe.

It’s definitely not the most practical approach for every piece, but there’s something so satisfying about experimenting like this, stepping into that space where illustration starts to feel almost like sculpture or abstract design.

Thank you for coming along for all the different versions and behind-the-scenes glimpses of this piece 💫

This illustration was a journey! One of the most experimental pieces I’ve done in a while! It’s designed to be viewed as a seamless scroll, so take your time sliding across, the slides should flow from the first into the second, like one continuous moment.

I don’t often work in a lineless style, mostly because it’s tricky to control. But once I realized that shadows and edges could double as implied linework, something just clicked. The shapes started to hold together, and from there it became a really fun challenge. I probably wouldn’t draw like this all the time, but as a creative detour? I loved it.

This piece actually started small, barely up to the first knee but I kept expanding the canvas: added her other leg, then the feet, then scattered in those soft, floating florals. It just kept growing. And in the end… it officially set a new record for me: 13 hours of drawing time! (Not including all the editing afterward, don’t get me started on that part 😅)

I tested so many different versions and arrangements for how to share this. Even after finishing the piece, I spent ages tweaking the layout, colors, and tone in post. There’s actually a whole alternate version where the contrast is dialed way down… the bustier, the hair, the background, and the skin are nearly the same tone, and it’s only the shadows that give form to the figure. It’s very artsy, and I love the concept… but it takes a second to “read,” and I’m not sure it translates well at the pace of a scrolling feed. It may show up on DeviantArt, though, for those of you who follow me there 👀

Sometimes pieces take longer not because they’re more complex, but because they’re teaching you something new the whole way through. This one definitely did.

This is the second half of the piece! As I designed it to connect seamlessly with the first on my grid✨

Together, they tell a quiet story through flow and form… I love how this section gave me space to play with gestures and negative space. For the longest time her entire left (our right) leg was just entirely a shadow, before I had decided to attempt to draw feet. It feels a little more grounded, a little more serene… like an exhale after the upward motion of the first half.

There’s something really satisfying about letting a composition stretch beyond a single frame. It forces you to think differently about balance, rhythm, and how the eye moves across an image. This one taught me a lot about subtleness, how the smallest details, like a curve of the ankle or the softest shadow, can guide the entire shape and mood.

Posting the still image version of the piece from my recent Reel! ✨ While I love how the animation turned out, some of the finer details, such as the border around her, just didn’t translate well in motion, so they had to be cut. I really wanted to share the full version as it was originally designed, with all the little details.

Also… can we talk about Instagram’s layout chaos for a moment? 😅 Apparently the grid view is now in a 3:4 ratio, but Reels and the expanded post view are still in 4:5. It’s a small change, but it makes formatting oddly tricky—especially when you’re planning compositions to fit neatly on the profile page. Like… why not just pick one and stick to it? Or bring back the simplicity of the square?

I’ve been thinking more and more about how to create with platform limitations in mind, from how I crop artwork to which details might be lost in motion or trimmed by the grid. I have a wide image coming up and I don’t know if I want to set it up to spam across two posts because they might just change it again. It’s a weird new world of “designing for display,” but I guess that’s part of the modern artists conundrum.

Anyway, I hope this version gets a little more love for the parts that didn’t get to shine in motion 💕
