We actually grew a ton of banana plants, and we had plenty of them around when I was growing up, but honestly, we rarely got to eat them.

My family preferred to sell our produce so we could afford other household essentials.

Now that I’m older, I still don't get to have them very often since I live thousands of miles away from home.

Maybe someday I'll finally get to enjoy them as many as I want.

Just for Mama know, I let me tell her, “Ma, lamian baya kaau kog barbecue nga saging.”
