Practical light study.

I’ve been playing around with some handmade VFX lately. This specific look was created using some colorful glass straws and a small flashlight.
By animating the light at 12fps as it passed by and rotated the straw, I was able to capture these organic refractions. These elements work perfectly when layered over an alpha channel in post-production to add that extra tangible texture to a shot.
