🍩 CHOCOLATE-DIPPED MOCHI DONUTS
Ingredients:
1 cup glutinous rice flour
½ cup tapioca starch
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
2 large eggs
½ cup milk
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
Vegetable oil, for frying
200 g dark or semi-sweet chocolate
Toasted sesame seeds
Colorful sprinkles
Instructions:
Whisk together the glutinous rice flour, tapioca starch, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
Knead gently until smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each into smooth balls.
Arrange the balls closely together on small parchment squares, forming a flower-shaped donut ring.
Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Carefully lower each mochi donut into the oil and fry until puffed and golden brown, turning gently for even cooking.
Transfer to a wire rack and let excess oil drain.
Melt the chocolate until smooth and glossy.
Dip the top half of each cooled mochi donut into the chocolate.
Sprinkle immediately with toasted sesame seeds or colorful sprinkles.
Let the chocolate set slightly, then enjoy! 🍫🤤
