Demon Slayer Rice Field Art!

This year's Rice Field Art in Gyoda City is a collaboration with Demon Slayer. You can see it until mid-October, and it's most vibrant from mid-July through the end of August.
You can get there from Tokyo in 1.5 hours by train and bus. It's a must-see this summer!

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐃𝐊: Pacific Bluefin Tuna and Northern Bluefin (Honmaguro) are often caught in northern Japanese waters, including around Hokkaido, Tohoku, and Aomori (especially Oma).

Some tuna in Hokkaido may be freshly landed at ports like Hakodate or Rausu.

Just 30 minutes by car from from the city center, Horomi Pass blooms with magic now featuring fields of lavender, skies of blue, and panoramic views of the capital of Hokkaido.

🗺️ How to Get to Horomi Pass from Sapporo City
🎒 Getting there from downtown Sapporo is surprisingly easy! It takes 45 minutes to hour.
1. From Odori or Sapporo Station, take the Tozai Subway Line to Maruyama-Koen Station.
2. From there, hop on a JR Hokkaido Bus (Junkan Maruyama Line or # JR46).
3. Get off at Horomitoge Iriguchi (幌見峠入口) — it’s about 15–20 minutes by bus.
4. Then it’s a short uphill walk (about 10–15 minutes) to the viewpoint and flower fields.

🎥 Tip: Go early in the morning for fewer crowds and the softest golden light.

30°C in Japan doesn’t feel the same as 30°C elsewhere. The high humidity makes it so much worse. It’s like being trapped in a sauna. You get dizzy and feel like you’re about to faint. Stay safe, cool, and well-hydrated.
