Henri C., an emerging author, shares the inspiring journey behind his debut book, "Code Name: Black Phoenix." Teaming up with established author Raquel Hab, Henri embarked on a creative collaboration that transcended borders.
Born in Morocco, Henri moved to New Jersey at age five, then to France two years later. His diverse background includes studying engineering and Chinese language and civilization. At 23, he ventured to Réunion Island for two years before returning to France. Four years ago, he made Japan his new home.
Through a chance connection with Raquel via a mutual friend, Henri found himself co-writing a gripping spy novel. Despite the logistical challenges of collaborating from Paris and Tokyo, Henri remained passionate and committed. Writing the male protagonist’s storyline, he embraced the learning curve, fostering open-mindedness and a deep love for the project.
Henri’s journey is a testament to creativity, resilience, and the power of storytelling. He believes that through collaboration, they gained not just a compelling story but a bigger sense of humanity and heart.

Patrick Wilson, Director of Business Operations at Jaguar Land Rover Japan, has built a career fueled by passion, adaptability, and bold decision-making. Born in England but raised in Australia and other overseas destinations, he naturally identifies as Australian. Initially drawn to hospitality in college, he pivoted to the automotive industry, merging his love for motor vehicles with a career in imported cars.
His journey brought him to Japan in 2006 with Toyota Motors, where he established his industry roots and met his wife. After a stint back in Australia, Patrick made a life-changing decision to return to Japan, securing a role with Volvo Japan. Three years later, he was tapped by his current boss at Jaguar Land Rover Japan. Now, after a decade with JLR, he remains at the forefront of innovation, sharing insights into Jaguar’s upcoming concept cars and highly anticipated three-car lineup.
Patrick also reflected on the similarities between business models in Britain, Australia, Sweden, and Japan, highlighting the global nature of his work. Happily married with two children, he envisions a long-term future in Japan, possibly even retiring here—a testament to the life and career he has built in his adopted home.
