Japan's "Mirai Ningen Sentakuki," or "Future Human Washing Machine," is a groundbreaking AI-powered bathing system developed by Osaka-based Science Co. Unveiled in late 2024, this innovative device promises to cleanse both body and mind in just 15 minutes.

It employs high-speed water jets infused with 3-micrometer microbubbles to gently remove impurities from the skin. Biometric sensors embedded in the recliner monitor vital signs such as heart rate and stress levels, allowing the system to adjust water temperature and select calming visuals and music tailored to the user's emotional state.

The design draws inspiration from the 1970 Osaka Expo's Ultrasonic Bath, a concept that captivated audiences but never achieved commercial success. Notably, Eiji Yamaya, a key figure behind the original Ultrasonic Bath, contributed to the development of this modern iteration, alongside his colleague Manatsu Ueda.

The Mirai Ningen Sentakuki was showcased at the Osaka Kansai Expo in April 2025, with plans for a consumer version in the future.
