Day 4 of prepping for CLC;
Today was another light day, work unfortunately kept me longer than expected. Had a few incidents and administrative work that demanded my attention.

While at work did 10 chest to deck pushups almost every hour on the hour, focusing solely on form. All the way up and down. Then with the limited amount of time I had I did a classic Reading Track sprint workout, jogging the turns and accelling on the straights. Finally finishing with 10min on the stair stepper and a long walk with Yarrick.

Day 3 of prepping for CLC;
Today was a light day I figure this week will be base line results.

While at work did 10 chest to deck pushups every hour on the hour, focusing solely on form. All the way up and down. Then pushed myself to for the 2 mile run. Definitely need to be better, but again have to start somewhere.

This is Day Two of prepping for Combat Leader Course.
Bench was 3 sets of 10
20lb barbells 4 set of over head lifts 4 sets of 10
Low Row at 4 sets of 15
Lat Pull Down 4 set of 15
Leg Press 4 sets of 10
Chest Press 1 set at 55lb and 1 set at 70lb.

I know this isn’t the greatest or ground breaking weight training, however I need to start somewhere and this is what I have in mind for the training. Tonight I have to work on cardio and tomorrow will be more weight training. I think I will make Sat and Sunday my rest day.

If anyone has targeted and realistic workouts I should be using let me know.

I’ve been selected for Combat Leaders Course, CLC, it’s a Security Forces training program designed to teach Tactical and Strategical Leadership. However it went through a course revamp to better align with other Services Combat Course. The new washout rate, at time of posting, is 20%. So this old warhorse is about to become incredibly aggressive in getting fit and “un-bigging my back” as the young guns say. This was my first attempt and baseline of a Ruck March, after not doing one in over 10 years.

Also correction on the video, I rucked with a 35 pound bumper plate and the cutoff time is an Hour and 30min.
