The latest release from DREAMWAVES Records is out next Friday and the digital-exclusive release is currently up for pre-order on Bandcamp.

the deep sleep is a new Tokyo-based shoegaze project and their debut release, "the magnificent steiner", features a lot of great artists from around the Japanese shoegaze scene, including eureka (Ferri-Chrome/ex-For Tracy Hyde), SHOKO (COLLAPSE), Hata Yusuke (cruyff in the bedroom).

The album also includes a RAY cover and an appearance from shoegaze idol newcomers Suisou to Clematis. Please give it a listen!

We are excited to announce our first release of 2023! The Japan-exclusive CD release of “Everything Is + Waters” from UK-based Singaporean shoegaze/alternative outfit Coming Up Roses drops on April 5th. The album includes all of the songs from the band’s two previously releases EPs with exclusive bonus tracks from their 2021 DREAMWAVES Online performance. We’re stoked to be working with this incredible band and can’t wait for release day! Stay tuned for more info.

For Tracy Hyde have announced that they’ll be disbanding this March. It’s sad news but we’re honored to be hosting their final show in Nagoya on Sunday, February 26th. If you’re in the area, come on out, celebrate the release of their latest album (which is awesome, btw), and experience one of the best live performances around. More details to come.

Happy New Year! Thank you all for your support in 2022. We had our busiest year yet last year and we’re looking forward to building on that in 2023. There’s lots in the works, but we will be kicking things off in February with a pair of killer events. Stay tuned for release news as well! We hope you all have a happy and safe 2023.

Our first shows of 2023 are going down the same weekend, and we’ve got a pair of exciting release parties for you.

First up, on Saturday, we’ll be celebrating the new album from SPOOL. Apple Light will be making their long-awaited return to Nagoya, and they’ll be joined by our friends softsurf and Cattle.

The following day, we’ll be hosting the Nagoya release event for For Tracy Hyde, whose “Hotel Insomnia” album just dropped today! More details on that event coming soon. Hope to see you there!

The second EP from Tokyo’s Moon in June, titled “evergreen”, will be out on 7/20 via DREAMWAVES Records!
