FORSAKEN 3000 tells a sci-fi story about a divided human race. Only a small number of privileged citizens live in a spaceship that floats above the earth, the rest is left behind on the polluted ground. Living in tunnel systems and underground cities, enduring never ending sand storms and toxic air and following the advices of itinerant preachers wandering the dead desert with no fear but their heads burned to insanity.

The soundtrack from this film by Ruggiero stands well alone and is unsurprisingly five tracks, one for each of the film’s five chapters. But it really is best taken in with the visuals. Distorted long shots of buildings in the first ‘chapter’ contrast with a bustling view-through-filter second...
