Kyō wa dō saremash*ta ka?
What brings you in today?
（Patient）My tooth hurts.
どの歯が痛いですか？
Dono ha ga itai desu ka?
Which tooth hurts?
（Patient）It’s my back tooth on the left side.
いつから痛いですか？
Itsu kara itai desu ka?
Since when has it been hurting?
（Patient）It’s been hurting since about three days ago.
ちょっと見ますね。口を開けてください。
Chotto mimasu ne. Kuchi o akete kudasai.
Let me take a quick look. Please open your mouth.
少し風を当てますね。今、しみましたか？
Sukoshi kaze o atemasu ne. Ima, shimimash*ta ka?
I’m going to blow a little air on it. Did that feel sensitive?
（Patient）Yes, it did.
虫歯ですね。
Mushiba desu ne.
It looks like you have a cavity.
治療するので、痛かったら左手を上げてください。
Chiryō suru node, itakattara hidari te o agete kudasai.
