HELLO NOVEMBER!✨
Navigating Attention Wars: Life as a Mom with Two Sons
Last night was quite a scene; with fierce winds and pouring rain. As we prepared to leave for our Bible Study, my two sons became frightened. Kuya Galen wanted me to carry him, but I was unable to do so since I was already managing Gael, along with a bag, an umbrella, and other belongings. I had to wait for my husband to step in and lend a hand.
When we returned home late, both children were in tears, having started even before we left the venue. It was heartbreaking not to be able to give them both the attention they craved. Their crying persisted throughout our trip back and continued when we got home.
Indeed, it was overwhelming; I longed for just a moment of peace. Kuya Galen wanted nothing more than to be held by me, often pushing his brother aside, while Gael was desperately ready to sleep and wanted my milk. Eventually, they both drifted off to sleep while I sat there, half upright, holding them together.
After the whirlwind of emotions, my head was racing, feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Yet, once things settled down, I found myself genuinely grateful that they had fallen asleep peacefully.
