今回香川県のコトバスを使って訪れたのは、富山県南砺市にある木彫刻のまち・井波。
瑞泉寺の門前町として発展し、約250年にわたって木彫刻の伝統が受け継がれてきた場所です。
町を歩くと、工房や看板、町並みのあちこちに美しい木彫刻が息づいていて、職人さんたちの木槌とノミの音までこの町の風景の一部になっているのが印象的でした。
2018年には「木彫刻のまち・井波」として日本遺産にも認定されていて、歴史とものづくりの魅力を全身で感じられる特別な場所でした。

This time, I visited Inami, a town of wood carving in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture.
It developed as a temple town around Zuisenji Temple, and has carried on its wood-carving tradition for about 250 years.
As you walk through the town, you’ll find beautiful wood carvings everywhere — in the workshops, on the signboards, and throughout the streetscape — and even the sounds of artisans’ wooden mallets and chisels feel like part of the town’s scenery.
In 2018, Inami was officially recognized as a Japan Heritage site as the “Town of Wood Carving, Inami,” making it a truly special place where you can fully experience both history and the beauty of craftsmanship.

Right next to Shanghai’s fast-paced skyline, there’s a place where time flows slowly.
Yuyuan, dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), reveals another side of the city—one that lets you forget the noise.

忙しない摩天楼のすぐ隣に時間がゆっくり流れている場所。
明代(1368年〜1644年)から続く豫園は、喧騒を忘れさせる上海のもう一つの表情。
