The photography featured in our poetry anthology Objects was taken from the Dunlin Press personal archive. Over the past few decades we have amassed thousands of images; some taken from scenes in our first flat, our adventures, or early travels around the country as well as the images created separately when we were young.

Some collage artworks we worked on for our Objects poetry collection. For this eclectic poetry anthology we wanted the cover to reflect the wide range of poets and diverse nature of the collection. To represent this visually we were inspired by the idea of paste up walls. Here flyers and poster from club nights and events are covered and revealed over time - an urban living palimpsest.

Objects is available to buy at our big cartel shop. It contains wonderful work from Galia Admoni , MW Bewick , Emma Bolland , Richard Capener , Martyn Crucefix , Kitty Doherty , Lucia Dove , Tessa Foley , Michael Hampton,  Jeremy Allan Hawkins ,  Ella Johnston ,  Giulio Maffii om , Joshua Martin,  AJ Moore,  Nick Norton .ck6612 ,  Anthony Ogbonnaya Chukwu,  Jake Reynolds ,  David Roberts , Vik Shirley  Richard Skinner,  Isabella Streffen , Ilias Tsagas .tsagas , Sarah Wallis,  Rob Walton

More Dunlin Press artwork processes. This time our lino prints for Boot Sale Harvest by Adrian May. This was really enjoyable.

In Boot Sale Harvest, author, poet and songwriter Adrian May takes a seasonal journey through the car-boot fields that artist Grayson Perry
has described as being like a “casual museum”. In the boot sales of Essex we discover the lost and found of everyday life, and begin to reclaim the “things that the everyday folks leave behind”. And in the bricolage of overlooked histories we learn of forgotten writers, of fairy tales, of the need for magic and humour, and of love and loss and everything in between. What is really found at the boot sales, and in these pages, are the honest treasures of our society – from a writer we can treasure, too.

Reflecting on our artwork process for our books. These are some of the pieces we created for VLOED by Lucia Dove

VLOED is a work of creative nonfiction. Comprising historical analysis, poetry and photography, the book explores the shared cultural memory and landscape between Essex and the Netherlands in relation to the North Sea Flood of 1953. The disaster, which left deep impressions at both local and national levels across the two places, is perceived here through the lenses of heritage, homesickness and decay.

Very dull, but yes, Martin has had his Insta account hacked and can't currently access it. And yes, he's still an editor and writer, not a bitcoin billionaire!
