Various vintage aesthetic, Japanese 'Pocket Albums'.

These small, paper photo albums were super popular in the 80's and 90's in Japan and used to be given to customers for free when developing 35mm and getting prints made, at photo development shops back then. The Japanese ones in particular always had lots of misspelled and nonsensical english phrases on them. They were also usually paired with 'stock' type photos, kind of like what you would see in a blank photo frame.

I always loved these and felt they had a nostalgic charm about them. I regret not picking these ones up but I do have a good collection from old family albums of my own.

These particular ones were found in the photo section of BIC Camera and were still for sale in 2023.

Embroidered Third Culture x Champion Packable Jacket Drop 🖤

Wind + Rain resistant and packs away into a zipped pouch pocket which you can pull out and use to store the jacket. The kangaroo pocket is big enough for most compact sized cameras too (maybe a rangefinder with a small lens too 🤔 maybe..).

This is one to keep in your camera bags or tote bags for sure. Don't sleep!

Hello 2021!

Last year was a crazy one, so my apologies for not being active as much on IG. I was busy getting some other projects off the ground and surviving 2020 🙇🏻‍♂️💀 We made it.

That being said, Third Culture lives on.

I have still been working on some new TC things over the past few months too..

Here's a couple of 'Porta 400' hand-tufted rug samples that just came in. They are both slightly different with one having more '3D Carving' effect than the other.

I'm still tweaking these to perfection but lemme know your feedback/thoughts on them.

Do you like the '3D Carving' or is it better without? Should the rugs be bigger? Rugs are 🔥🔥 or 'hard pass'? Whatever it is just lemme know below!

I hope 2021 is a great year for everyone and keep the positivity flowing ✌🏼

Finally received the publication of photos that was taken during a workshop earlier this year in Seoul with and and hosted at .

The theme/story for our workshop was set by Greg Girard and was essentially (I'm simplifying a bit) "Imagine you just found out you have an older half sibling in Seoul and have come here to find them". 🤯

We were then asked to create a small series of photos around this narrative with specific requirements such as 'a portrait', 'a night photo', 'a photo of a detail' etc.

We had 2 days to complete the series, one of which was after a full day of folio reviews and a presentation of Greg's work in detail. It was peak winter so we were always rushing to shoot as much as we could before the sun went down.

My first thought was "damn..that's hard af!" and I honestly had no idea how to approach it..plus I was shooting on 35mm film, so shooting at night was gonna be even harder..and then how was I supposed to get my film developed and back in time to present it on the last day of the workshop 😱

Eventually I just did what I always do and shot everything that caught my eye, while trying to keep that narrative in mind. I managed to get my film developed and scanned and scans emailed to me on the last day in the afternoon. I quickly assembled the photos into a series that worked the best with the narrative and was the last person to present them to the workshop.

I ended up pretty happy with the results to be honest, but still had that feeling of "if only I had more time..". My personal series revolved around the story that my older sibling had ended up being a criminal in Seoul. I love Korean gangster movies so I wanted to give a nod to them with the series.

Anyway, these are the final images that create our individual series, kindly curated and put together by and 🙏🏼

It was a great experience and I highly reccomend anyone thinking of taking part in a photo workshop to do it! ✌🏼
