I do love visiting beautiful places with friends and family. Love the sea, you can take an island girl away from the island but not the island from the girl they say 😀☺️

In Tikopia culture, pungaumu refers to the traditional ceremony, which serves as an important rite of passage marking a boy’s transition toward social maturity. The ritual involves the participation of close relatives—particularly maternal uncles—who prepare ceremonial gifts and guide the process as part of their cultural obligations. It is a huge part of our culture and although modernity brings with it some modification in the traditional method of carrying out the ceremonial activities, it still preserves the ceremony’s symbolic value. Beyond the physical act, pungaumu strengthens kinship ties, reinforces communal responsibilities, and upholds the continuity of Tikopia customs within the wider cultural landscape of the Solomon Islands.😊😍☺
