20 Influencer pages, Tinanggal ng Meta Dahil sa Pagpo-promote ng Ilegal na Online Gambling

Akala ng ilan, hindi sila matatablan—pero pinatunayan ni Meta na mali sila.

Inalis na ng social media giant na Meta ang mga page ng ilang kilalang Filipino influencers dahil sa diumano’y promosyon ng ilegal na online gambling. Ang hakbang na ito ay ginawa kasunod ng kahilingan ng digital advocacy group na Digital Pinoys, kasama ang Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC).

“We thank Meta for swiftly acting on our joint request with CICC to take down the pages of influencers blatantly promoting illegal online gambling. We hope the remaining pages flagged in our initial report will be removed in the coming days,” ayon kay Ronald Gustilo, National Campaigner ng Digital Pinoys.

Kabilang sa unang batch ng tinanggal na mga page ay ang mga sumusunod na personalidad:

🔹 Sachzna Laparan – may 9.7 milyon followers
🔹 Boy Tapang – may 5.5 milyon followers
🔹 Mark Anthony Fernandez – may 242,000 followers
🔹 Kuya Lex TV – may 100,000 followers

Sa kabuuan, 20 influencers ang na-flag at isinumite para sa pagsusuri.

“Some of these influencers thought they were untouchable—that we were bluffing,” dagdag pa ni Gustilo.

“They had more than enough time to comply. They gambled with the law, and now they’re facing the consequences.”

Binigyang-diin din niya na ito pa lamang ang simula ng mas malawak na operasyon laban sa online na ilegal na sugal. Pinuri rin niya ang determinasyon ng pamahalaan sa pangunguna ni Asec. Aboy Paraiso.
