We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Captain William Ruto and the entire family following the tragic loss of their beloved daughter Mitchell Jelimo Kemboi.

We pray that God grants the family grace .

Mitchell Jelimo Kemboi, will be buried this Friday at their Kabarak home. This comes after they were involved in an accident, and her father is still receiving treatment in hospital.

May she rest in peace.

A farmer in Marigat, Baringo South Constituency, is counting heavy losses after River Perkerra broke its banks and flooded his farm overnight.

The farmer says crops worth over KSh 300,000 were affected after heavy rainfall in the upper catchment areas caused the river to overflow, leaving his farm badly damaged.

CM Kiprotich Tingos Ngeny from Mogotio, Baringo County, has officially been appointed to the Council of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) following a competitive national election and confirmation through Gazette Notice No. 1440 by Treasury CS John Mbadi Ng’ongo.

Out of 18 candidates, Tingos ranked 3rd nationally, securing one of the six elected slots on the Council. With more than 27 years of experience in public and donor-funded procurement at KEFRI, he now becomes the first professional from Baringo to serve in this prestigious role.

The incoming Council will be led by Jeniffer Cirindi Njiru, the first woman Chairperson of KISM, with members serving a three-year term beginning 2 February 2026.
