As President William Ruto works tirelessly to unite the country and deliver on his development agenda with the hope of serving two full terms, it is clear that Bomet County must also align itself with this vision for national progress.


In contrast, former governor Isaac Ruto continues to focus on personal political interests, as demonstrated yesterday during the Kilel Jazz event at Green Stadium, where he reasserted leadership of his marginal party, CCM. His fixation on party politics rather than unity and service suggests a return to outdated political maneuvering that could derail the gains made under the current administration.

Dr. Bongei represents the future of Bomet a leader rooted in integrity, progress, and unwavering loyalty to President Ruto’s national agenda. His commitment to the people of Bomet and alignment with the Kenya Kwanza development plan make him the most qualified candidate for governor in 2027. Unlike Isaac Ruto, whose return appears motivated by personal ambition and divisive rhetoric such as reviving the "kingship" debate, Dr. Bongei offers real leadership focused on service delivery, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. Bomet needs a visionary, not a political monarch and that visionary is Dr. Bongei.

Isaac Ruto’s political career has been one long, painful decline. He was thoroughly trounced by the late Dr. Joyce Laboso not just defeated, but humiliated.

In 2022, Barchok handed him another early and decisive beating.

And come 2027, the writing is already on the wall, Dr. Bongei will finish what the others started. Isaac will have no choice but to retreat permanently to Tumoi, tending to his dwindling herd and reminiscing about a past that’s long gone.
