Young flowers, bright and fair,
Called too soon from our care.
Dreams unfulfilled, futures untold,
Lives more precious than silver or gold.
Within those walls you laughed and learned,
For brighter days your hearts all yearned.
Yet through a cruel and tragic flame,
Sorrow and grief suddenly came.
You left your books, your beds, your songs,
Leaving silence where joy belongs.
Parents weep, friends still cry,
Asking heaven the painful "Why?"
Though one reckless act lit the fire,
Nothing can replace lives taken higher.
May justice stand, may lessons be learned,
And may such tragedies never return.
Sleep gently, daughters of our land,
Safe now in God's loving hand.
Your memories shine, forever bright,
Like stars that glow throughout the night.
Rest in peace, Utumishi Girls.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. 💔🕊️
