Kenya Red Cross Society - Bomet Branch celebrated the World Red Cross Day at Umoja Children's home. It was a moment of celebration and fun as the kids in the orphanage welcomed the team. The red cross team took center stage in the day's activities such as cooking for the whole orphanage, washing children's clothes and a fun filled session full of dances. The was also a cake cutting session whereby the cake was decorated with Henry Dunant's photo (the founder of Red Cross).
World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is celebrated every 8th day of May. This year's theme is "From The Heart".

A middle aged man 28 years old Hillary Kibet Ronoh killed his two sons Harron Kiplangat aged 3 years and Brian Kipyegon aged two years using tea pruning knife on their necks separating the body and heads. This comes after the young man disputed with his wife on Sunday 26/03/2023 leaving the children with Him.
It's high time we bring back KOK to teach our young men their responsibilities. The County government of Bomet should organize KOK meetings to train and tame the young men to refrain from such acts.
