Together with Ford Kenya Party Chairperson, West Nalondo MCA Hon. Polycarp Wandabusi, we joined the family, friends and supporters in mourning the late Joseph Barasa Nabiswa (Omumukoya) popularly known as Bush at Lukhome. Mzee was a dedicated and loyal supporter of the Ford Kenya Party and his legacy remains a reminder of the values we stand for. I used the moment to call upon the great people of Mukuyuni Ward to stand firm with Ford Kenya and to continue supporting our Party Leader Rt. Hon. Moses Wetang’ula as we strengthen our political journey.

Later, we joined the people of Kuywa Location for the burial service of the late Mzee Emmanuel Simiyu where the spirit of unity and solidarity among our community was strongly felt.

This evening, I stood together with the people of Miyekwe Village, Kuywa Location in Mukuyuni Ward as we united in a funeral fundraiser to support the burial arrangements of the late Retired Teacher Mzee Emmanuel Simiyu (Omurefu). It was truly heartwarming to witness the community come together in solidarity with our Kuywa Location Chief Madam Joyce Simiyu and the entire family during this difficult moment.

Retired Mwalimu Laban Khaukha Musungu (Omufumbula–Omutaa).

The late Mwalimu was a distinguished History and Geography teacher who over the years mentored and molded countless students with his wisdom, discipline and passion for education. Even after retirement he remained a guiding light in the community, always offering counsel and encouragement to those around him.

The late mwalimu was a devoted husband to Christine Nekesa with whom he shared a life of love, respect and family values. His legacy as a teacher, mentor and community elder will be remembered for generations to come.

May his soul rest in eternal peace 🕊️

Joined the Mukuyuni Ward Youth Association in their meeting held at Chebukaka Primary Boys.

I commended the leadership for uniting youths across the ward and creating a platform for engagement. They shared brilliant ideas on projects aimed at empowering themselves economically, socially and academically.

I encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined and innovative as they pursue these initiatives since the future of our ward greatly depends on the strength and unity of its young people. I also assured them of my support in ensuring that some of their proposals are transformed into tangible community development programs.

Today, we gathered at Kimalewa Primary Grounds in Mukuyuni Ward to bid a heartfelt farewell to the Deputy Principal Academics of Friends School Kamusinga, Mr. Mathew Wasewa (Omuchemwile). The occasion was not only a moment to honor his remarkable service in the education sector but also a time to reflect on the great impact he has made in shaping the lives of many students and contributing to academic excellence in our community.

The event was well attended by leaders and residents alike, a clear demonstration of the respect and admiration Mr. Wasewa has earned over the years. Among the leaders present were the area MCA Hon. Meshack Museveni, Hon. Didmus Barasa (MP Kimilili Constituency) alongside other distinguished leaders and community members who came to celebrate his legacy.

It was a fitting tribute to a man who dedicated his life to nurturing knowledge, guiding the youth and strengthening the foundation of education in our society.

This evening, I had the honour of gracing the Sitabicha Welfare fundraising event as the Chief Guest at Sitabicha, Millembe in Mukuyuni Ward. The occasion was dedicated to boosting their table banking initiative, a noble effort that continues to uplift families, promote financial discipline and strengthen the bonds of unity and self-reliance within our community. I sincerely commend the leadership and members of the Sitabicha Welfare for their vision and resilience.

In my remarks, I encouraged parents to allow and guide their children who are 18 years and above to acquire National Identity Cards and register as voters. I reminded them that the voter’s card remains the strongest weapon in our hands to shape leadership and to secure the development that Mukuyuni Ward rightfully deserves.

I further assured the members of my full and continuous support in all their initiatives and I pledged to stand with them not only during such events but whenever the community calls upon me. Finally, I humbly appealed for their support as I seek to serve them in 2027 as their Member of Bungoma County Assembly Mukuyuni Ward so that together we can drive real change, inclusive leadership, and sustainable development for all.
