MY SINCERE APOLOGY TO ALL KIMAETI WARD RESIDENTS
My people of Kimaeti Ward, I sincerely apologize for not being present during the final moments of the Hon. Sonny Andrew Wafula Tournament.
The tournament had run well up to the last minute of the finals, and I want to appreciate my coordinators for doing their best to ensure everything went on smoothly. Unfortunately, I failed them and the people of Kimaeti by not showing up as expected.
The reason I did not make it to the finals was because of the ongoing Ihsaan Health Centre Kimaeti Medical Camp. I had many patients to attend to, and the camp was running out of the scheduled time, with my responsibility taking me up to 7:00 PM.
After the medical camp, I was forced to rush to Nairobi after 7:00 PM to settle an urgent issue involving my younger brother Dickson, who had been involved in an accident while transporting the tournament balls. The traffic officers also detained him, which caused further delays in the delivery of the balls. I had to go to Nairobi to settle the matter and establish where the balls were. As I had communicated earlier, I could not show up for the tournament without the balls that were supposed to be used.
I deeply apologize to all the teams, players, fans and residents of Kimaeti Ward. My coordinators tried their best, but I take full responsibility for what happened. I understand the disappointment caused, especially at the final stage of a tournament that had been running successfully.
I am already making arrangements so that we can fix a new date, complete the tournament and award all the teams, just as I promised when we launched the tournament.
My people, I am truly sorry. Please accept my sincere apology, and thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support. 🙏⚽
