Bodaboda Riders Rally Behind Linda Mwananchi Movement Ahead of Kitale Rally

The bodaboda fraternity today converged at the Ukombozi Centre for an engagement meeting as preparations gathered momentum ahead of the upcoming Linda Mwananchi Rally in Kitale.

Addressing the riders, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya called on the bodaboda sector to remain united and actively participate in shaping the country's future. He said the Linda Mwananchi movement is focused on championing the interests of ordinary Kenyans through accountable leadership, good governance, and economic empowerment.

Natembeya urged the riders to mobilize peacefully for the Kitale rally, describing the bodaboda fraternity as a key pillar in driving civic awareness and national transformation.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti Announces Release of MYS Cohort II Examination Results

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has announced that examination results for all Machakos Youth Service (MYS) Cohort II recruits who successfully completed their training are now ready for collection.

In a public notice, the governor urged all graduates to visit their respective training centres to collect their examination results.

She further clarified that certificates will be issued during the official graduation ceremony, whose date and venue will be announced later through the County Government's official communication channels.

Governor Ndeti congratulated all the recruits for successfully completing their training and wished them success as they prepare for graduation.

As residents in many counties celebrate the commissioning of new tarmac roads worth billions of shillings, Busia County is being asked to celebrate murram roads instead.

Governor Paul Otuoma has announced that his administration, through the County Roads Improvement Infrastructure Program (CRIIP), has upgraded more than 318 kilometres of rural roads to gravel and murram standards across nearly every ward in the county.
However, critics argue that while improving rural access roads is important, Busia residents deserve more ambitious infrastructure development.

They question why the county is still celebrating murram roads at a time when other counties are investing in and unveiling major tarmac road projects that attract investment, ease transport, and stimulate economic growth.

The debate continues over whether Busia's infrastructure agenda is keeping pace with the expectations of residents and the level of development seen in neighbouring counties.
