Morning Devotion
‎📖 Psalm 91:5-7 (NKJV)
‎"You shall not be afraid of the terror by night. Nor of the arrow that flies by day."
‎"Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you."
‎
‎Reflection
‎Fear is one of the greatest weapons of the enemy. Notice how the verse covers both night and day—the times when we feel most vulnerable and the times when life’s pressures come flying like arrows.
‎Life is full of unseen battles—some in the open, some in the shadows. The psalmist paints a vivid picture: dangers that creep silently in the dark, disasters that strike in broad daylight. Yet the child of God has a covering so strong that even when calamity sweeps multitudes, he or she remains untouched.
‎This doesn’t mean storms won’t rage around you; it means the hand of God sets a boundary over your life. You walk under a divine exemption—what consumes others cannot consume you, because the Lord Himself is your shield.
‎Takeaway
‎✓“Terror By Night” speaks of those hidden fears, uncertainties, and battles that try to creep in when everything is quiet.
‎✓“The Arrow By Day” represents the sudden challenges, words, or attacks that come openly, sometimes catching us off guard
‎✓DARKNESSDARKNESS cannot overtake the one who walks in God’s light
‎✓Daytime Disasters do not surprise the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps.
‎God’s covering is not selective to time—it works in the night and in the day.
‎
‎🙏 Prayer:
‎“Lord, I thank You for being my covering in the night and my shield in the day. Even when thousands fall, I will not fear, for Your hand preserves me. Keep me walking in Your shadow always. Father, I reject every spirit of fear. Guard my heart against hidden terrors and visible arrows. Keep me bold, trusting fully in Your protection, day and night. Amen.”
