Though it may not have a traditional Marama name, it’s time we embrace it as part of our natural and healing landscape. Let’s give it meaning in our own language and plant more of it in our communities.

Today I woke up feeling lazy.
My mind was thinking about my past life as an electrical engineer,
My heart wanted to pass by nyua ciothe,
And my body just needed a tight hug.

So I wore those old boots from my previous career,
threw on a cap to hide from fellow irrigators who might be chilling at nyua ciothe,
and carried a small waist bag,don’t ask me why, I just felt like it.

No gumboots, no overalls,I walked around the farm like someone looking for who to annoy and run,but there was no one around,i even tried calling my neighbor just to annoy him,he didn’t pick.
So I picked this tool instead and decided to annoy myself.

It's a simple soil tester,tells you your soil's pH, moisture level, and light condition.
No guessing. It shows you if your soil is too acidic, alkaline, too wet or too dry.
Turns out, my soil is stabilizing well.
So I’m not annoyed anymore.

Now let me go find my friend and annoy him with some soil science.

Good morning Tuesday,
Reporting live at 6:40am from deep in the village, right on the cool slopes of mighty Mount Kenya.

Yesterday I posted a Bactrocera trap and eeeh, the comment section almost needed its own rescue team.
So let me explain again before you guys think im rude.

This trap works by using a smell called a pheromone a chemical released by female fruit flies from their re**al glands (yes, you read that right). Male flies smell it, think “romance is in the air,” rush in hoping for conjugal… only to meet their death instead.

Imagine dying just because you thought there was love waiting...

Some traps even go further ,they mix in food scents, because some of us (even in the fly world) are moved by both love and food.

I hope I’m clear now.
Men, please... don't be like the flies. Smell wisely. 😅
