Imagine if Luis Enrique was in Ruben Amorim’s position you lot would've wanted him gone before the season even kicked off. I remember when there were just rumours about Amorim selling Bruno Fernandes and fans already lost it.

Now picture Neymar, Mbappé, and Messi at United, and Enrique sells all three in his first season. Old Trafford would be full in 30 minutes by angry fans!

And if people went mad over just Bruno, imagine Bruno, Amad Diallo, and Mainoo. Chaos.

You can call me whatever you like, and maybe I did judge Xabi Alonso too early but it almost feels like Mbappé and Xabi Alonso were sent to destroy Real Madrid.

The season before Kylian Mbappé's arrival, Real Madrid dominated both European and Spanish football, winning the Champions League and La Liga. Jude Bellingham thrived as a false nine, working in perfect harmony with Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior to deliver team success.

Mbappé is one of those players who might score 50 goals in a season, but in doing so, he tends to overshadow the rest of the team. He shines, receives all the praise, and yet his presence seems to limit the effectiveness of the other attackers. He’ll get all the goals while the rest barely get involved.

As for Xabi Alonso, it’s hard to believe that Rodrygo is being benched purely for tactical reasons. Yes, I understand that no player is bigger than the club not even Ronaldo or Messi but is Rodrygo really not good enough to get even 3 minutes on the pitch? Not even 10? This is a player who has delivered in the biggest games on the biggest stages.
