In this photo, it was Manchester United against Borussia Dortmund on July 30, 2023, when Onana was caught on camera yelling at Maguire. It happened after Maguire passed the ball to Christian Eriksen, who lost possession. Dortmund then took a shot, and Onana had to make a save.

After the game, Onana was asked by the press why he shouted at Maguire, as it seemed too personal. He responded by saying he demands a lot from his teammates, that he trusts Maguire, and even called him one of the captains and a leader in the team.

But if you rewatch that clip? Let’s be honest, that yelling felt personal.

At the time, Onana had just joined Manchester United. Harry Maguire was going through a tough period, facing criticism from all sides. Only his mother and a few fans were standing by him. Onana saw that weakness and took advantage of it. He picked the easiest target to shout at. To make this matter worse, Maguire was behind him when he was going through the same criticism. 🫢

Now look, Onana is unwanted at United, and Maguire is close to getting a contract extension.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored Portugal’s second goal in the 21st minute against Armenia, the exact number worn by the late Diogo Jota. 💔🥲 What a powerful coincidence… or perhaps, it wasn’t a coincidence at all. It felt like something deeper, a moment written in the stars, meant to honour him.

More than three months have passed, yet the pain still lingers. The memories remain fresh, and the wound has not healed. When Ronaldo scored, he placed his hand over his heart and lifted his eyes to the sky , a silent tribute to a teammate, a brother, a friend gone too soon.

Victor Gyökeres and Benjamin Šeško have faced each other twice in the past month, once at club level and once in an international match. The 27-year-old Arsenal striker has scored two Premier League goals so far, both coming in a brace against Leeds United. Meanwhile, Benjamin Šeško has yet to open his account in the Premier League, largely because Amorim has not given him a regular starting role.

However, based on their performances in those two encounters, the 22-year-old Šeško is clearly showing his potential against Gyökeres. While he hasn’t fully reached the level we all know he’s capable of, he once again outshone Gyökeres in yesterday’s international match between Slovenia and Sweden, despite Gyökeres playing alongside higher-quality teammates than those in the Slovenian squad.

Things That Might Surprise Manchester United Fans This Season

✅️ Andre Onana still starting games – Despite the arrival of a new goalkeeper and the presence of Altay Bayındır, Onana continues to hold his spot. That may surprise some, but the coaching staff clearly still trusts him.

✅️ Bruno Fernandes as United’s top scorer again – Even with new attacking signings, don’t be shocked if Bruno finishes the season as our leading scorer. I’m not underestimating our forward line, but anyone who knows Bruno knows what he brings.

✅️ From "Sack the coach" to "Give him a lifetime contract" – It wouldn’t surprise me if fans completely change their tune midway through the season once Amorim’s system starts to click. Don’t be shocked when Old Trafford echoes with chants of his name.

✅️ Manchester United winning the Premier League – Many are in denial, but I strongly believe we’re genuine title contenders. When I look at teams like Liverpool and Arsenal, they’re not miles ahead. We’re very much in this race.

✅️ Benjamin Šeško winning the Golden Boot – I’m not trying to put pressure on him, but I have complete faith in our selfless wingers this season. Unlike with Rashford and Garnacho, Šeško might finally get the kind of service that lets him thrive.

Someone needs to investigate that 2-month injury of Ryan Cherki properly. Because it’s looking a little too suspicious. Maybe he heard Lisandro Martínez is back from injury and suddenly decided, “You know what? My leg hurts.”

This is the same guy who said he couldn’t wait for the Manchester Derby so he could destroy Manchester United, and now he’s going to be cheering for Man City from his hospital bed.

– He has been our best defender so far: calm, visionary, and solid at the back.

✅ Bryan Mbeumo
– Scored 2 goals (against Grimsby and Burnley), created more chances than any other Manchester United forward, and completed more dribbles than any of them as well.

You guys are always behind, I’m already living 11 days ahead. The international games are over, and thankfully, no Manchester United player picked up an injury.

United have just played the Manchester Derby against their neighbors and arch-rivals, Manchester City. Our new signings, Šeško and Mbeumo, stole the show by scoring a goal each, before Marmoush pulled one back as a consolation for City.

Manchester United now sit fourth in the Premier League table with 7 points. But don’t worry, I’ll still join you to watch the highlights. 😋
