That’s why a phone may:
🔋 Show charging without increasing percentage
🔋 Charge very slowly
🔋 Stop charging randomly
🔋 Heat while charging
🔋 Charge only when switched off

In most cases, technicians check the entire charging system — not just the battery.

Important parts involved in charging include:

🔧 Charging Port
Receives power from the charger into the phone.

🔧 VBUS Line
Carries charging voltage through the motherboard.

🔧 Charging IC
Controls and manages charging properly.

📘 VBUS is the main voltage line coming from the charger into the phone.
Its job is to carry power from the charging port to the charging section of the motherboard.

But charging is a process — not just plugging in a cable.

If any component in the charging line fails, the phone may:
• Charge slowly
• Stop charging randomly
• Show charging without increasing percentage
• Overheat while charging
• Refuse to charge completely

Common causes technicians check include:
