I am pleased to have successfully completed the two-days Advocacy and Communication Training. This is a part of the Somali NGO Consortium’s Capacity Building Program. The training was designed to strengthen the capacities of members in advocacy and communication, enhancing both skills and knowledge to better support their organizational and collective efforts.
I extend my sincere appreciation to all participants for your active participation, valuable contributions, and commitment, which played a vital role in making this training both impactful and successful.

Humanitarian Day is commemorated every year on August 19 to honor humanitarian workers and recognize those who dedicate their lives to serving vulnerable communities around the world. Participated in High-Level Coordination Meeting on Humanitarian Preparedness the meeting chaired by Hon. Abdinaasir Abdi Arush, Minister of Aid and Disaster Management of South West State. The meeting was held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baidoa and brought together key UN agencies, humanitarian actors, and government stakeholders.

of the Department of Energy and Water at the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the South West State Government, Mr. Liiban Ahmed Abdullahi Awkhliif, officially inaugurated today in the city of Baidoa the Consultation and Information Exchange Meeting between the Ministry and organizations operating in the regions, particularly those working in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).

This meeting, which is held once a month, was attended by organizations that provide services related to water, sanitation, and hygiene. The discussions focused on the development and improvement of these essential services.

In his opening speech, the Director of the Department of Energy and Water, Mr. Liiban Ahmed Abdullahi Awkhliif, elaborated on the key issues to be discussed during the meeting, which include strengthening collaboration and improving public services related to water and sanitation.
