Eldama Ravine MP Musa Sirma Mourns Rev. Dr. J. Roy Stover

Eldama Ravine MP Hon. Musa Sirma has sent a heartfelt message of condolence following the passing of Rev. Dr. J. Roy Stover, a long-serving missionary and former pastor at AIC Eldama Ravine Town Church.

In his tribute, Hon. Sirma described Rev. Stover as a faithful servant of God whose dedication to ministry, education, and community service left a lasting impact. “Rev. Stover was a teacher, mentor, and leader whose influence extended from the pulpit to the classroom and beyond,” he said.

The late Rev. Stover is remembered for growing the AIC Eldama Ravine congregation into a vibrant community of over 1,500 members and for establishing institutions such as Elma Barnett Children’s Center and Elma Kamonong’ High School.

“His legacy of faith, compassion, and service will continue to inspire generations,” said Sirma, adding that the church and community have lost a true pillar.

Rev. Stover passed on having served God faithfully, and as Hon. Sirma concluded, “He is now in the presence of the One he served so passionately—well done, good and faithful servant.”
