It brings me immense joy to see artists I brought from grass shining and prospering in the music industry. Kilel, in particular, holds a special place in my heart and moreso in my production ministry.

Five years ago, Kilel burst onto the scene with his first hit song, "Makanika." It took him a year and a half to produce the video, and I am happy I stepped in and help him since he had no funds to sponsor himself.

I'm so proud that he has never rested on his laurels since and lyrics! His dedication has been unwavering, and on 2nd August he's celebrating five incredible years in the music industry.

I would like to publicly express my disappointment and frustration regarding an unresolved issue involving the Office of the Baringo County Woman Representative, Hon. Florence Chematia whom i respect her so much.

Last week i was officially invited to perform at a women’s empowerment function organized under her office. I honored the invitation and delivered my performance in good faith under the understanding that my service payment as agreed upon prior to the event would be processed accordingly.

Regrettably, despite follow-ups for umpteenth times since the completion of the event, I have yet to receive any payment for my services. My calls and messages have either gone unanswered or been met with vague promises and unnecessary delays. In fact to add salt to the injury, Hon chematia has personally harassed me Terming my right to demand my pay as having "nothing between my ears" as seen in the attached WhatsApp screenshot, Furthermore she alleged that she will never recommend me to anyone else. It should be noted that i have been invited to several women empowerment functions including Mogotio hosted by Kiborek, Goats auction At kimalel, Nandi hosted by Cynthia Muge, Kapseret hosted By oscar sudi among others which no issue arose.

I wish to categorically state that, After the event, i was sent 50K half of the agreed payment which was followed by a request call that there was pressure from the local artists and i should return the money so that they can clear them first which i agreed in good faith and sent them the 50k and that my full pay will be made later which apparently hasn't been made up to date.

As an artist who earns a living through performance, such experiences are not only discouraging but also disrespectful to our effort in the music industry.

This statement is not made out of malice or hatred but out of the need for fairness and respect for the work of entertainers and service providers. Artists deserve to be treated with dignity, and timely payment is a fundamental part of any professional agreement.

I kindly urge Hon. Florence Chematia and her office to resolve this matter promptly and amicably. Let this be a reminder that empowering women also means respecting their work whether they are in leadership, business, or the creative industry.

Nonetheless, i wish to thank Baringo fans who showed up in large numbers to the occasion, showed me love and melted my heart. I love baringo, evident from many times i attend functions there. Furthermore i thank Bomet women rep Linet toto who supported us on our way back to Bomet.
