PRESS STATEMENT FROM HON. ALEX KANGOGO
Date: 4th August 2025

I wish to officially announce that I have decided to shelve my political ambitions to contest as Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Tembelio Ward until 2027.

This decision has not been easy, but it is one I have made after deep reflection and in consideration of the current political climate. The recent tensions and attempts to tarnish the reputations of respected leaders — including my boss, H.E. Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim, H.E. Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea, Dr. Chris Kiptoo (PS), and Prof. Phylis Bartoo (MP) — are deeply unfortunate and against the spirit of progressive leadership we all aspire to uphold.

To my loyal supporters, I urge you to remain calm and united. Let us understand that Tembelio is bigger than any one individual. It is our collective responsibility to work together for the betterment of our community.

Let us now turn our energy toward development, unity, and service delivery.

I wish all the remaining candidates the very best in this by election.

Let’s Make Tembelio Ward Great Again.
