UPDATE: A task force led by former Deputy CJ Dr Nancy Baraza has proposed mandatory chemical ca-stra-tion for both male and female se-xu-al offenders, including pe-do-philes who inflict or threaten sexual vio-len-ce against children under 18.

The taskforce also proposes a complete ban on out-of-court settlements in gender-based violence (GBV) cases.

The recommendations reflect the nation’s growing frustration with rampant s-exu-al offences and a failing justice system.

My name is Kipchirchir Fredrick.

I sat for my KCPE in 2011 at Kipletito Primary School, scoring 345 marks, and later joined Kemeloi Boys High School, where I completed my KCSE in 2015 with a strong B+ grade. I was fortunate to be admitted to Karatina University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, a course I was truly passionate about. Sadly, I was forced to drop out before graduation due to financial constraints.

Since 2020, I’ve been off campus, doing my best to stay productive and hopeful. I’ve tried my luck in military recruitment seven times — reaching the final stages only to be dropped each time. I've worked in charcoal delivery, milk distribution, farm labour, boda boda transport, and even taken up roles as an MC to make ends meet and keep myself mentally stable.

Still, the weight of unfulfilled dreams sometimes feels overwhelming. I watch my peers succeed, and while I genuinely clap for them, I pray for the day when others will clap for me too.

I believe in second chances, and that’s why I’m reaching out with humility and hope. If there is any well-wisher or kind-hearted person who believes in the power of education and transformation, I am ready and willing to go back to school. I believe my story is not over yet and with your support, I can rewrite it.

I still am scared but i know great things lie beyond fear, and i deserve them. So I’m slowly taking my power back into my hands and I’m trying to care less about what people think of me. My name is Fredrick Kipchichir aged 29 years .I come from mobon village ,ibanja sub location ,kaptumo location , kaptumo/Kaboi ward in aldai constituency.I am a first born in a family of 6 children .I did my KCSE exam in the year 2015 and I attained a mean grade of B+ and secured a place to study Bachelor of science in biochemistry at karatina university commencing 2016 under registration number P105/1437G/16.I struggled through fee challenges at karatina and I was later forced to defer my studies in 2018 where I resorted to teaching at Siror Daystar academy in kilibwoni ward nandi county to gather for my fees .I later resumed my studies in 2019 and completed my third year of study but upon commencing my fourth year I had been placed as a private sponsored student and I was forced to defer again since I couldn't raise my huge fee amount of ksh 126,000.My family could not make it because I had my four siblings who were in high school at the time.I have been out of university since then and I always dream of completing my university journey .The situation as at now is out of hand and I look unto God and well wishers to help me realize my dream of being a researcher .I am willing and ready to learn given an opportunity to study without fail .I believe that God of eternity hasn't forgotten me and still has good plans in store for us all.I welcome all well wishers to help me and they can reach me via phone number 0720451583/0788078518 God bless everyone willing to help me 🙏.
