PRESS STATEMENT
For Immediate Release

We are deeply concerned by the alarming trend witnessed during recent peaceful demonstrations, where a militia group has been seen operating in coordination with police officers. This group, caught on video destroying property and looting from businesses, must be held accountable. These are the individuals who should be apprehended and investigated without delay.

It is unacceptable for voices of dissent to be silenced through arrests and unfounded allegations of incitement. The right to peaceful assembly and expression must be respected and protected at all times.

The government must stop ignoring the cries of ordinary Kenyans, who are grappling with unbearable economic conditions, widespread youth unemployment, a collapsing healthcare system, and a failing education sector. In truth, very little is working for the common citizen.

In light of these injustices, we firmly call for the immediate and unconditional release of Manyatta Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon. Gitonga Mukunji, whose only “offense” appears to be standing with his people.

Wimwaro FM Interview highlights

1. We demand transparency and accountability for the KSh 8 billion allocated to the county from the national government and local revenue sources.

2. Embu will remain ranked last 47 out of 47. if our focus continues to be hiring people whose main duty is attending funerals.

3. I won’t comment much on the maize issue; it’s truly unfortunate what the people of Embu have gone through.

4. Kanyuambora University was derailed, but I still believe it will eventually be established. I was instrumental in bringing Embu University, and I am confident this one will also become a reality.

5. The funds for the dam project were misused and the initiative stalled but I’m committed to reviving it. These three dams are critical and will supply water to Embu for the next century, primarily for agriculture. With adequate water, our farmers can produce enough food for both local consumption and external markets, boosting our economy.

6. We’re not competing on avocado prices with Ken Java. Prices will naturally fluctuate—currently it's at KSh 105, but that depends on the season and supply levels.

7. I fully support the Gen Z movement and believe their voices must be heard.

8. My parting message to the people of Embu is “Twendane muno”, let’s love and stand by one another, for unity will drive our progress.

Yes, I will be on the ballot in 2027, and this time we will ensure our votes are fully protected from any form of rigging.

If the circulating rumors are true, that each person received around 10k, So Total of around Ksh. 50 million was utilized, without factoring cost to hire Buses and cost of food, let’s pause and reflect on what that money could actually achieve:

It could drill at least 20 boreholes across Mbeere North and South, providing lasting solutions to water scarcity.

It could fully stock all dispensaries in Embu County with essential medication.

It could fund full scholarships for about 100 students, covering their entire school fees.

These are just a few examples to show how impactful proper use of funds can be. Let this be a reminder come 2027, vote wisely

Vote for a Strategist, vote for development oriented mindset, vote for Hon. Lenny Kivuti as Embu County Governor
